The Gibbs math teachers received a grant for a school-wide set math games. Specifically, these mathematics games were chosen due to their distinctive alignment with the 6th grade Massachusetts Curriculum Framework for Mathematics.
Students not only engage with mathematics in fun ways at school, the games are also available to be borrowed for play with family at home! Game play allows students an opportunity to practice both the social and emotional competencies and the academic competencies that are the goals of the Responsive Classroom approach to teaching.
